about the project:

QUIR was the winning project of the 2022 Fund from the Ministry of Technological Development and Innovation, and was formally presented at the British Embassy in Buenos Aires during the Honorary Reception for Lord Herbert of South Downs, the UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy on LGBTQIA+ Rights. The project was also featured in a remote talk on LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurship, organized by the LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Meta (Formerly Facebook).

QUIR is a mobile app designed to promote and protect safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community. At a time when increased visibility is often met with rising violence and discrimination, QUIR responds with a platform that connects queer individuals to businesses, services, and cultural spaces committed to providing non-discriminatory, inclusive environments.

The app curates and verifies listings, including restaurants, clinics, beauty salons, shops, health professionals, and events, all filtered through the lens of community safety and dignity. Beyond navigation, QUIR functions as a tool to empower economy, fostering visibility, and encouraging cultural participation on our own terms.

We offer safety, comfortable spaces filtered and checked for the community's needs; oppornutinities and visibility.

My contributions included UX/UI design, content strategy, social media and team management, community counseling, and the development of a comprehensive business and service database tailored to the unique needs of users.
