EQUINOX MULTIMEDIA

Equinox Multimedia was a three-person arts and design collective: two formally trained graphic designers and me, the electronic artist, the concept director, the rule breaker.

The dynamic was intentional. They would build and I would destroy.

With a brutalist visual language defined by reduced color palettes, sharp contrasts, and bold compositions, the work moved fluidly between analog and digital; raw, polyhistoric, and uncompromising. The politics lived inside the form rather than on the surface of it. Philosophy and theory were raw material for visual construction, not decoration.

Together we produced two editorial collage publications and two interactive live visual pieces performed at events and parties. Work that resists surface aesthetics in favor of deeper visual inquiry.

Equinox is no longer active. But the instinct it came from, that design can be a critical act, that aesthetics are never neutral, never left.
